The Tommy Gate G2 Series has set the quality standard for liftgates for nearly 20 years. However, the evolution of a liftgate never ends, and every single day at the factory in Woodbine, Iowa, Tommy Gate engineers are modifying, improving, streamlining, and refining the G2 design.

In the past 12 months alone, there have been over 120 formal engineering changes on the Tommy Gate G2-Series.

Critical components have been updated and brought in-house, entire sub-assemblies have been redesigned, and throughout the implementation of these various changes, the liftgate has even managed to shed more than 15 pounds.

Components and parts that have significantly changed include:

• Inner Pivot Supports
• Mainframes
• Upright Clearance Notches
• Pivot Plates & Torsion Tubes
• Rivets & Fasteners
• Power Units

So many updates have been implemented over the last year that one Tommy Gate employee recently commented, "it's basically a whole new gate."
