Tommy Gate now has a new Rear Camera & Sensor Bar Option for Chevy 2500 & 3500 pickup models. 

Previously, Tommy Gate launched the one-of-kind Sensor Bar in an effort to address the issues related to installing a liftgate while still retaining the function of factory installed cameras and sensors. Applications now exist for Ford F-150/250/350, Chevrolet-GMC Colorado/Canyon mid-size pickups, and Chevrolet 1500/2500/3500s.

Tommy Gate Rear Camera and Sensor Bars are specifically designed to fit seamlessly along the bottom of the PICKUP LIFTGATE mainframe and reposition the factory camera and sensors in a manner that is aesthetically appealing while still retaining component functionality.

Vehicle backup cameras are more common than ever and according to a DOT mandate passed in 2014 all vehicles under 10,000lbs must be outfitted with the technology by May 2018.

In order to meet the challenge presented by the emerging technology and the effects on liftgate compatibility, Tommy Gate has been working eagerly to provide a clean and simple solution to the issue.

The resulting Rear Camera Bar kits are application specific and only available for the newest pickup models. Tommy Gate will continue to release additional applications as future pickup models are released.
