Effective July 24th, 2013: a new, bolt-on light kit option is now available and has replaced the recessed light kit option for ALL G2 Series model liftgates.

Tommy Gate's new bolt-on light kit is a three-light kit (two red, one white) available in both incandescent and LED lights. The kit includes a harness that connects smoothly to the vehicle's existing wiring system and utilizes a combined stop/turn function.

The bolt-on kit is the same price as the previous recessed light kit and follows the same wiring procedure. Installation is simple and is able to be retro-fitted on previously purchased G2 Series liftgates not fitted with a recessed light kit. Replacement parts' lead times and shipping costs will also be reduced with the new bolt-on kit.
