Woodbine Manufacturing Company, producer of Tommy Gate hydraulic lifts, announced recently the availability of the latest addition to the Tuckunder Series, the TKL. The "little brother" to the dual-cylinder TKT, the TKL accommodates lower bed-heights, is lightweight, and can lift up to 2,500 lbs; making the TKL the perfect solution for light to medium-duty flatbed, stake and van bodies. 

The TKL, the second tuckunder-style liftgate offered by Tommy Gate, incorporates a single-cylinder, power-down, highly efficient design for bed heights from 33 - to 47-inches.  Lightweight (511-534 pounds) and durable, the TKL combines sleek, modern engineering and 2,500lbs of lifting capacity, with numerous installation, operational, and service features that are advantageous to both upfitter and operator.

TKL models are currently being offered with extruded aluminum platforms 33 to 41 inches deep, and bed extensions fitting either 96- or 102-inch-wide bodies.

Tommy Gate engineering and customer service departments took the feedback from their network of industry resources which highlighted a need for a low bed height compatible tuckunder that was lightweight with a powerful lifting capacity.

The TKL is the lightest and sleekest in its class, while also meeting the durability and serviceability needs of operators,” says Allen Birmingham, Director of Sales for Woodbine Manufacturing.

• Thermally protected motor protects the electric motor from overheating
• Low-profile, fixed toggle control (with five-minute inactivity shut off)
• Fully-enclosed hydraulic cylinder

Optional features include:

• Bumper Bar a low, full-width steel bar mounted under the liftgate
• Split cart stops to secure wheeled cargo 
• Combo, LED light kit recessed lights in the dock extension side steps that serve 4 functions (tail, turn, stop, and reverse)
• Dual controls low-profile fixed control + remote pendant control
